Located in Historic Corolla Village, Corolla, NC, The Event Boutique is a family owned & operated hospitality retail store brings one-of-a-kind hand selected entertaining pieces & décor to Corolla & the Outer Banks.

I have worked in the Wedding & Event industry for over 20 years. After obtaining my BA in Public Relations Communication & a minor in Art Design, I obtained a Master’s in Event Management with focused areas in Event Etiquette Protocol & Event Design. Over the years, I owned 2 successful Event Planning businesses, as well as an Event Consulting Company.

My family has been coming to the Outer Banks since I was a small child & absolutely love the unique beautiful area this coastal region offers. The Event Boutique was founded on the idea of bringing unique entertaining pieces to the area & offering fun inspirational uses for the pieces for the hospitality of others. We sell modern décor with a vintage flair as well as fun seasonal gifts & ideas.

With the amazing support of family, my husband Bobby, and my 3 children, we are thrilled to bring this very special store to Historic Corolla Village. Our fondest memories are made by gathering around the table!

Historic Corolla Village dates back to the mid-19th century & was originally a small, remote fishing village. Today, it retains much of its historic charm with beautifully preserved buildings & a peaceful atmosphere.

Visitors to Historic Corolla Village can explore a variety of attractions, including the historic Corolla Chapel, the Whalehead Club, & the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The village also offers scenic walking paths, quaint shops, & lovely waterfront views.

  • Can I rent event items like table setting, linens, napkins, glassware and decor from The Event Boutique location?

    Yes, we partner with several local event rental companies and large east coast on land rental companies to be able to assist you in renting tables, chairs, place settings, barware, furniture and more.  To reserve rentals, you should call the store to make a rental or event design private appointment time to pick out your items from our samples and we will assist you in placing your order from the store, as well as setting up delivery and pickup with the rental company.  There is a fee associated with this service.

  • How will customers know the uniqueness of certain pieces available at The Event Boutique?

    The Event Boutique displays custom inventory signs with unique pieces that explain a little info about the item; what it is made of, where it originated or the artist/creator, the size, how to care for it, etc. so that customers understand the item they are purchasing and can share fun facts about it when giving it as a gift or using it themselves to entertain. We also are happy to talk about the piece with you in person at the time of sale or obtain additional information from the owner of The Event Boutique as needed to give you the best detail we can about the item.

  • If I fall in love with an item featured on Instagram, social media or the website that is for sale can I reserve it?

    Yes, items go quickly and may not be for sale for very long. If you see a piece advertised for sale you can call the store and request that the piece, be on paid-reserve.  We require payment over the phone and then can pull the item from the shelf and hold for you to pick up within 5 days. After that you will need to contact the store to make arrangements and pay for delivery of the item.

  • Are your items suitable for weddings and other special events?

    Yes, we sell gifts for wedding gifts, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor party gifts, hospitality or hostess gifts and beyond.  "Every time you gather it's an event" and we try to offer special pieces that you can give for your gathering or event.

  • Where do we park when we come to shop at The Event Boutique, OBX in Historic Corolla Village?

    You may park in any of the parking spaces within the parking lot directly in front of the store.  We request that the parking space directly in front of the store remaining open for visibility of the store and other businesses in that corner of the village. No parking passes are needed and there are no reserved parking spots.

  • Do you have any special promotional events throughout the seasons?

    Yes, During the summer months every Wednesday from 12-2 The Event Boutique offers a special "Sip and Shop".  Customers can take their time strolling the store and viewing the merchandise while listening to the beautiful live music of "Sam on Sax". Special drawings and discounts apply to customers that day.

    In the Fall, the store hours reduce and special fall events are announced for "Cider and Shop" days to prepare for the Holidays!

    In December, The Event Boutique is open every Friday and Saturday evenings for the special "Christmas in Corolla".

  • Do you offer gift wrapping services?  

    If requested at checkout, we are happy to gift wrap the item for you.

  • What method of payment do you accept?

    At The Event Boutique, OBX we accept Cash, Major Credit Cards and Apple Pay.

  • Do you offer shipping?

    We do not openly offer shipping, however we want to work with you to have the piece you want and in certain circumstances the customer may request and pay for shipping of an item and we will handle shipping the item to them directly.  All items are sold at our location in Historic Corolla Village in Corolla, NC.

  • Do you have a return policy?

    Due to all items being for service and hospitality use we do not accept returning of any item. All sales are final.  We do not accept returns or exchanges once purchased.

  • Do you offer gift cards?

    Yes, we offer gift cards for any custom denomination.

  • Do you offer gift boxes?

    Yes, beautiful gift boxes can be purchased in various sizes.  If gift box is requested, we sell one gift box and tissue for each item purchased.
